ICDL and MOS practice exams
“I know Excel” is no longer enough.
Almost every job description lists Excel. Very few candidates can show what they actually master. A recognised certification turns a vague line on your CV into evidence a recruiter can check in seconds.
That is why these Excel training courses were built around certification from day one. You don’t just learn features: you learn exactly what the exams test, practise it on real files, and arrive on exam day knowing what to expect.
And because the training keeps going well past the exams, the skills you build are the ones that make you faster, more reliable and harder to replace at work.
Four Excel training courses. One clear path.
Most people looking for Excel training courses end up stitching together a beginner video here and an advanced tutorial there. Here, every level builds on the one before, so nothing is skipped and nothing is repeated.

Excel training courses: frequently asked questions
Which Excel training course is right for me?
You don’t have to choose. The path starts at beginner level and goes all the way to expert, so complete beginners start with Course 1, and confident users get the advanced, expert and certification material they’re missing.
Does this Excel training really prepare me for the MOS certification?
Yes. Every objective of both MOS Excel exams, MO-210 (Associate) and MO-211 (Expert), is covered and flagged with a MOS badge in the module that teaches it. Course 4 explains how the exams work and includes a timed, project-based practice exam for each one, completed in real Excel, just like the real test.
And for the ICDL certification?
Courses 1 and 2 follow the official ICDL Core Spreadsheets 6.0 and Spreadsheets Advanced 3.1 syllabi. Each one ends with a review exercise and a practice exam so you can check you’re ready.
Do these Excel training courses come with a certificate?
The certificates employers actually look for are the official ones: Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and ICDL. These courses are your complete preparation for both. The official exams are booked separately through an authorised test centre, so you take them when you feel ready.
How much does Excel training cost?
All four Excel training courses are included for one price: $147 instead of $197, with instant access after purchase.
Can I learn Excel in 7 days?
With a week of regular practice, you can be comfortable with the fundamentals covered in Course 1: entering data, writing formulas, formatting and creating charts. Advanced and expert skills take longer to master. The training is self-paced, so you move at the speed that suits you.
Can Excel be self-taught?
Yes, as long as you practise. That’s why every module combines a short video and annotated screens with a downloadable practice file and a quiz: you learn by doing, not just by watching.
Can ChatGPT do my Excel work for me?
AI can write formulas, macros and summaries, but only if you know what to ask and can check the result. Course 3 has two chapters on exactly this, generative AI for Excel and Copilot in Excel, so you learn to use AI as an assistant rather than a black box.
I’m a complete beginner. Is this for me?
Absolutely. Course 1 starts with getting Microsoft 365 and opening Excel for the first time. You then progress step by step, at your own pace, all the way to expert level.
I already use Excel. Will I really learn something new?
Almost certainly. Course 2 covers dynamic arrays, LET, XLOOKUP, statistical charts and what-if analysis, and Course 3 adds Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX, Copilot, Office Scripts and VBA: skills most self-taught users have never touched, and exactly the ones that make a difference at work.
Which version of Excel do I need?
The training is built on Excel for Microsoft 365, the version the MOS exams are based on. Module 1.1 shows you how to get it. Copilot requires an eligible Microsoft 365 licence; module 21.1 explains the requirements.
How is the training delivered?
100% online, here on Gnosarium. Each module combines a short video, step-by-step screens with annotated screenshots, a downloadable practice file and a quiz. You learn whenever it suits you.
When can I start?
Right away. Your access opens as soon as your purchase is complete.
What language is the training in?
The courses are in English and use the English Excel interface.
Your next job interview starts with proof.
